Dr. Craig Slapinski graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 2007 and has more than 15 years of clinical experience working with patients experiencing spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.
His clinical interests include disc-related back and neck conditions, chiropractic care and non-surgical spinal decompression. His professional development has included specialized training in spinal decompression and the assessment and conservative management of spinal conditions.
After practicing in both Ghana and the United States, Dr. Slapinski returned to Ghana in 2020 with the goal of expanding access to specialized non-surgical spine care and developing a multidisciplinary center combining clinical assessment, technology, rehabilitation and patient education.

Dr. Lakyn Crist, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic | Spine, Nerve & Musculoskeletal Care
Dr. Lakyn Crist is an internationally experienced Doctor of Chiropractic with more than a decade of clinical practice, bringing extensive expertise in the assessment and conservative management of spine, nerve and musculoskeletal conditions.
She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, USA, one of the world’s established institutions in chiropractic education. After graduating in 2013, Dr. Crist established and operated her own chiropractic practice in New Mexico before expanding her professional work internationally, including practising in Ghana from 2014.
At Spine & Nerve Center, Dr. Crist’s clinical approach complements our specialised non-surgical model of care. Her work focuses on identifying mechanical and functional problems involving the spine, joints, muscles and nervous system, with particular emphasis on restoring movement, improving function and helping patients manage persistent spine and nerve-related symptoms through appropriate conservative care.
Her broad clinical background strengthens the management of patients presenting with conditions such as back and neck pain, spinal dysfunction, nerve irritation, sciatica and other musculoskeletal complaints, particularly as part of a multidisciplinary programme incorporating chiropractic care, rehabilitation and advanced non-surgical treatment technologies.
In addition to her spine and musculoskeletal expertise, Dr. Crist has a particular clinical interest in prenatal, postpartum and pediatric chiropractic care. Her experience caring for pregnant women and children provides an additional dimension to her clinical practice, with an emphasis on gentle, age- and condition-appropriate care.
Dr. Crist has also pursued further education in Direct Entry Midwifery and previously commenced postgraduate studies in Public Health Education. Her healthcare experience extends beyond private clinical practice to maternal and infant health, community health education and international healthcare initiatives.
This combination of advanced chiropractic education, more than a decade of hands-on clinical experience, international practice and multidisciplinary healthcare exposure allows Dr. Crist to bring a comprehensive perspective to patient care—looking beyond symptoms to understand the underlying mechanical, neurological and functional factors that may be contributing to a patient’s condition.
Joseph Ahenkorah, PT
Senior Physiotherapist
Joseph Ahenkorah is a University of Ghana-trained physiotherapist with experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, movement restoration and the management of back, spine and injury-related conditions.
His clinical approach combines structured rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise and patient education to improve movement, strength and function. At Spine & Nerve Center Ghana, he plays an important role in integrating rehabilitation with the Centre’s non-surgical treatment programs.
Ophelia Odonkor, PT
Physiotherapist | Spine Rehabilitation & Functional Recovery
Ophelia Odonkor, PT, is a qualified physiotherapist with a strong clinical interest in spine rehabilitation, musculoskeletal recovery and functional movement.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ghana in 2023, with training in the assessment and rehabilitation of conditions affecting the spine, muscles, joints and nervous system.
At Spine & Nerve Center, Ophelia supports patients receiving non-surgical care for back and neck pain, sciatica, disc-related conditions, nerve-related symptoms and other musculoskeletal problems.
Her rehabilitation approach combines therapeutic exercise, mobility training, strengthening and movement education to help patients improve function, restore confidence in movement and achieve better long-term recovery.
Working as part of the Center’s multidisciplinary clinical team, she helps ensure that rehabilitation complements each patient’s overall treatment programme.
Clinical Support Team
Our nurses and physiotherapy assistants are an important part of the patient care experience at Spine & Nerve Center Ghana. They support treatment delivery, patient education, clinical documentation and continuity of care throughout each program.
Team members receive structured internal training, regular competency reviews and continuing education to support consistent standards of care across our centers.
